My name is Sophia Magdelena and I’m a tattoo artist based in Chinatown, New York City.

Do you believe in magic? I certainly do. I’m inspired by the whimsy and fun that surround us in our everyday lives.

Originally from outside Chicago, I gave up my life as a midwest princess in 2018 to pursue a life of questing in NYC.

As a tattoo artist I specialize in illustrative blackwork and fineline tattoos. I generally lean towards fantasy and medieval subject matter, but I’m truly open to any client’s idea. Tattooing is a collaborative process, and it’s an honor to bring a client’s idea to life. I’m grateful to every client that trusts me with their body and their vision.

Tattooing is a craft unlike any other. Tattoos can transform a person and change how they feel in their own skin. Just like magic.

When I’m not in the studio tattooing, I can usually be found sewing, crocheting, painting, hot gluing, or attending medieval combat tournaments.
